What does GoDaddy's "choose your OS" mean at web hosting purchase?

The options are Linux or Windows. I assume that means that they will be hosting me on a Linux server (I am running Mac OS). I just want to make sure that it doesn't mean that I have to run Linux, and that it will support PHP/Javascript.
