How can I re-install an application on my MacBook without recanting the last software update I purchased?

That sounds like a lot of time consuming crap. If i were you, I would just download the newest version of iPhoto from the app store for i believe $15? It saves all of that hassle and you get the newest version! Saves tons of time and its better than before.
