Blackberry curve 8520 trackpad issue?

Hey guys... I am facing problems with my blackberry curve 8520 trackpad. the trackpad works fine when I am usin my phone normally but when I open the hotspot browser to surf the net. The trackpad becomes a major issue for me. Whenever I try to open a link by pressing the trackpad it does not respond . It behaves like I did not even press the trackpad but when I try to move the cursor with my trackpad it works like a charm. I'm facing problems only when I try to open a link or press a buttOn. Pls help me it's a new blackberry curve 8520 factory unlock os 5.0
